For seven years, RoboTEC has been one of iTEC’s challenges. This changed in 2015 when the international competition had its first edition on its own, organized by Liga AC (The Students’ League of the Faculty of Automation and Computers), with support from teachers and IT&C companies. It took place between 27th-29th of March, at Politehnica University Timișoara and successfully managed to gather a number of 70 student participants - 29 teams.
RoboTEC had 4 challenges at that time: Line Follower, Mini Sumo, Maze, and Freestyle, which could be taken in teams of up to 2 students + a coordinating teacher or 3 students. The winners enjoyed valuable prizes, such as robot kits, Arduino & Raspberry PI reference books.
