General Rules

Choose your competition!

This challenge of the contest follows the competence of the teams to build a robot able to follow a black line on a white surface, which reflects visible light or infrared. The challenge implies the completion of the track without errors in a time as short as possible. The criteria for choosing the winner is represented by the total time used to do this.
The objective is to complete the course in the shortest period of time while accurately tracking the course line from start to finish. There will be additional obstacles, compared to the classic Line Follower, like interruptions in the line, intersections, walls or inverted colours. The organisers decide what obstacles to use and in case no robot finishes the circuit, they may remove one or more of the obstacles.
In addition to the classic Line Follower challenge, Line Follower Turbo has a loop wide enough for the robot to put its speed to test by going through that loop without falling off. For safety measures, the robot MUST be equipped with an EDF (electric ducted fan).
At this part of the contest, the contestants must build a robot able to find the shortest path from one starting cell of a labyrinth to a final cell. Both the starting and the ending cell will be painted black while the other cells are painted white. The walls of the cells are built so that you can start from any cell. The criteria for choosing the winner is represented by the total time it takes to find the final cell.
At this part of the contest, the teams must build a robot capable to push another robot out of the arena. The robots can’t use missiles or other components which fly, they can’t let parts of the robot inside the arena and they have no right to destroy the other robot. The contest will follow the rules of simple elimination. The first 2 places are given by final results, and the next two places are given to the losers of the semifinals. The top is completed depending on the number of victories.
At this part of the contest, the contestants must build a robot as unique and interesting as possible and they have to promote it to the public and to the jury. After that, each team has 5 minutes to present its robot in front of the jury, which will choose the winner.
