RoboTEC 2025
RoboTEC is a robotics competition open for university and high-school students in which the participants can expand their knowledge and improve their skills in order to create an autonomous robot that meets the requirements of the competition.
As the first edition after the pandemic, it is co-organised in collaboration with the Faculty of Automation and Computer Science & Nokia Timişoara as main partners of the project.
TRACKS
As always, RoboTEC offers a variety of exciting tracks designed to challenge participant's creativity, problem-solving, and technical skills. Participants will have the opportunity to choose the track that aligns the best with their expertise and interests, pushing the limits of their knowledge to create innovative autonomous robots.
Line Follower (Classic)
This track will test the team's ability to build a robot capable of following a black line on a white surface. The criteria for choosing the winner is represented by the total time required to complete the track.
Line Follower (Enhanced)
As the name implies, this challenge will be a more complicated version of Line Follower (Classic) with a different set of obstacles.
Sumo
The teams must build a robot capable of pushing the other robot out of the arena. The contest will follow the rules of simple elimination. The first 2 places are given by final results, and the next two places are given to the other semifinalists, ranking being determined by the number of their victories.
Maze
For this challenge, the contestantants must build a robot able to find the fastest path from one starting cell to a final cell of a perfect labirinth. The criteria for choosing the winner is represented by the toal time it takes to find the final cell.
